Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 May 2026 — Version 1.0
FTT Travel Limited ("FTT Travel", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data-protection laws, including the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and, where relevant, the EU/UK GDPR.
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you interact with www.ftt-travel.com and our consultants, how we use and share it, and the rights available to you.
1. What Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identification & contact data — name, email, phone number, country of residence.
- Booking data — passport details, nationality, date of birth, frequent-flyer numbers, dietary or accessibility requirements, billing address and payment information.
- Travel preferences — destinations, dates, budget, interests, room and seat preferences.
- Communications — emails, chat messages, call notes, feedback and review submissions.
- Technical data — IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, cookies and similar tracking technologies. See our Cookie Policy.
- Health information (exceptional cases only) — where required for the booking of certain activities, cruises or to support medical/dietary needs during travel.
If you provide us with personal data of other travellers (e.g. when booking on behalf of family or colleagues), you confirm that you have their consent to do so.
2. How We Use Personal Data
- (a) To respond to your enquiries and prepare quotations and itineraries.
- (b) To arrange and fulfil bookings with Suppliers (airlines, hotels, ground operators, cruise lines, activity providers, insurers).
- (c) To process payments, issue invoices and maintain accounting records.
- (d) To verify identity and to support visa applications where requested.
- (e) To provide customer support during and after your trip.
- (f) To send service messages relating to your booking (confirmations, reminders, changes).
- (g) With your consent, to send marketing emails about new destinations, offers and curated picks. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- (h) To improve our website and services through analytics and feedback.
- (i) To comply with legal, tax, accounting and audit obligations, and to detect and prevent fraud.
3. Sharing of Personal Data
We share personal data only as needed to deliver our services or comply with the law:
- Suppliers — airlines, hotels, ground operators, cruise lines, activity providers, insurers, and similar travel partners required to fulfil your booking.
- Service providers — payment processors, IT and cloud hosting, email and communication platforms, analytics providers, all bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Group companies and authorised representatives — where this supports the delivery of services described in this policy.
- Government, regulatory and law-enforcement bodies — where required by law or to protect our rights.
- Successors — in the event of a corporate reorganisation, merger or sale, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International Transfers
Because travel is global, your personal data will often be transferred outside Hong Kong (for example, to the airline, hotel or local operator at your destination, or to cloud providers). Where we transfer personal data internationally, we apply appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections to ensure a level of protection comparable to that in your home jurisdiction.
5. Data Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, including encrypted transmission, role-based access and audit logging. No system is completely secure; you are responsible for keeping any login credentials confidential.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out above, or as required by law (for example, accounting and tax records are typically retained for seven years in Hong Kong). When data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymise it.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- withdraw consent to direct marketing at any time;
- request erasure or restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
- object to processing for direct marketing or based on legitimate interests; and
- lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong, or with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise these rights, please email sales@ftt-travel.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, analyse traffic and (with consent) deliver targeted marketing. Please see our Cookie Policy for details.
9. Links to Third-Party Websites
Our site may link to third-party websites (for example, Supplier booking portals or social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their own policies before submitting personal data.
10. Children
Our services are not directed at children. Personal data of minors is processed only when provided by a parent or guardian as part of a booking.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with the effective date.
